Haering and HCCA Partner to Expand Hands-On Training for High School Students

Haering Precision USA LP, in partnership with Hart County College and Career Academy, is proud to announce the placement of precision machining equipment from Hart County High School directly within Haering’s Lavonia facility.

This strategic collaboration enhances local workforce development by giving high school students access to real-world training in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

The machines are now located in the Haering Academy for Apprenticeship and Further Training, a dedicated training space on site at Haering Precision. The academy serves as a hub for technical education, combining classroom instruction with practical, industry-relevant experience.

The equipment installation is part of a broader initiative to enhance Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for students in Hart County. Through this program, students can now train on familiar school-owned machines in an industry setting at Haering while learning directly from experienced professionals.

“This is often the students’ very first exposure to a real manufacturing facility,” said Nathan Lindler, Technical Plant Manager at Haering Precision. “By giving them access to industry tools and professionals early on, we’re helping them explore their interests, build confidence, and understand the possibilities of a career in manufacturing.”

The integration supports a growing demand for skilled machinists and industrial technicians by accelerating career readiness and reinforcing the connection between technical education and real-world applications. Students in the program gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of a global company known for high-precision components in the automotive industry.

“We’re proud to work with Haering Precision to provide our students with this kind of access and opportunity,” said Steve Burton, CEO of Hart County College and Career Academy. “This is a strong example of what can happen when education and industry come together to support student success and community growth.”
